Adam Almaraz is a longtime public member of the Investigative Committee. His undergraduate degree is in animal science from Cornell University, where he wrote a senior thesis on nutritional supplementation of pigs on a wheat-based diet. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, then clerked at several law firms before returning to his former law school to act as an admissions director. He subsequently made the leap into human resources, working for Turnkey Vacation Rentals, Amazon, and Manpower. He lists his time with the Investigative Committee as a volunteer experience on his LinkedIn page.
As his tenure dates back beyond the retention period for Board minutes, the first mention we have of Almaraz is in the Fall 2014 The Scratching Post newsletter. At that time he had recently been appointed to the Investigative Committee along with Jessica (Amend) Creager. He was actually appointed to the PM Investigative Committee at that time, serving alongside veterinary Methuselah Robert Kritsberg, owner-operator Amrit Rai, Midwestern University large-animal vet Donald Noah, and public member Tamara Murphy.
Almaraz was subsequently reappointed to the Board at the April 20, 2016 and June 20, 2018 Board meetings.
